McMillen Auger Drive for Skid steer Loaders and Compact Track Loaders
McMillen’s Auger Drives feature a wide variety of auger diameters, lengths and styles for every digging application. Comes with various mounts available for most applications. All X Series hydraulic motors drive the auger through a sealed planetary gear reduction. The heavy-duty, all-gear design gives these units a long life with minimal maintenance and service costs. X Series drive units are completely sealed, with all moving components running in oil for total lubrication on a constant basis. All models feature reverse rotation for quick back-out when obstructions are encountered. The system’s hydraulic relief valve protects the units from damage when the auger hits large, immovable objects. This product is also available CE certified.

THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE SELECTING AN AUGER DRIVE
- When selecting an auger drive you will need to match to the recommended GPM and Pressure specifications shown for the drive to your prime mover.
- When deciding which model auger drive you need, please note the different model numbers for each drive. The larger model numbers will give you more torque and the smaller model numbers will give you more speed when operating within the recommended flow (GPM) range specified for each model.
- If you plan to dig holes in hard, compacted, or frozen soils, you should consider selecting a larger model as it will give you more torque. The same is true if you plan to use larger bits like the 36” versions. They need more torque than the smaller bits.
- If speed and production are most important and you are using smaller bits, a smaller model drive will give you more speed than the larger models allowing you to dig faster.

REVIEW
Pay attention to the maximum bit size and flow ranges in the specification section of this attachment. The most common size drive ordered for medium frame and large frame standard flow skid steers and compact track loaders is the X1975. Keep in mind the PSI or pressure creates the torque and the flow GPM determines the speed the bit will turn.
